Mixed close for wheat futures

Wheat futures traded either side yesterday which ended with higher for CBOT wheat/ KC and MGEX, and Matif added to its losing streak of 6 consecutive sessions now, down another €3.00/mt on the May contract.

US wheat export sales came in below market expectations at only 126k for the week for old crop. New crop sales were even lower at only 13k for the week.

Korea’s FLC booked 67k of optional origin FW for Sep arrival at a price of USD299.90/mt.

Aussie export prices were under pressure again with APW1 offers reportedly around $330 and ASW9 low to mid $320s for July/Aug shipments. However, ASX finished unchanged on the 1st 3 months despite the weakness in Chicago.

Ukr11.5 old crop offers were around USD325/mt CFR SEA.
